Sources of Data

We obtain train running status and schedule information exclusively from:

• Official public APIs — application programming interfaces made publicly available by Bangladesh Railway for informational and operational purposes.
• Public data feeds — machine-readable feeds and web services published by or on behalf of railway authorities for public access.
• Openly accessible web pages — publicly viewable pages that do not require login credentials and do not prohibit automated access in their terms of service.

What We Do NOT Do

We strictly avoid any data collection practice that could violate terms of service, platform policies, or applicable law. Specifically, we do NOT:

• Scrape — We do not use automated scripts or bots to extract, harvest, or mine data from any website or service that prohibits such activity in its robots.txt, terms of service, or acceptable use policy.
• Bypass access controls — We do not circumvent CAPTCHAs, login gates, rate limits, rate-limiting measures, or any other technical barriers put in place by data providers.
• Access non-public endpoints — We do not use private, internal, or restricted APIs that require special authorization not available to the general public.
• Redistribute third-party data without permission — We do not republish or resell data that we are not authorized to share.

Why This matters

This policy exists to protect our users, our advertising partners (including Google AdSense), and our analytics services. Engaging in unauthorized data collection could result in:

• Termination of advertising accounts (e.g., Google AdSense, Google Ad Manager)
• Analytical data contamination and loss of analytics services
• Legal action from data providers
• Reputational harm affecting user trust and partnership opportunities

Compliance with Platform Policies

Our use of publicly available data complies with the requirements of the platforms and services we rely on, including but not limited to:

• Google AdSense Program Policies — prohibits content obtained through scraping or unauthorized means
