The Indonesian government is rolling out a major transport stimulus program for the 2026 school holidays. From June 20 to July 5, 2026, all commercial economy-class train tickets are available at a 30% discount. This includes:
- All KAI intercity economy class trains
- KRL commuter line services
- LRT Jabodebek services
- Airport train services
The discount is part of a larger Rp 2.04 trillion transport stimulus package that also includes sea transport (June 20 - August 15) and air transport (100% VAT incentive for economy flights, June 24 - July 5). The government expects the program to boost domestic consumption and economic growth during the holiday season.
JIS Commuter Line Station Opens
On June 22, 2026, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and the Ministry of Transportation inaugurated the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) Commuter Line Station. The station was opened to coincide with the 499th Anniversary of the City of Jakarta.
